Become a VoluTeen! 

Students ages 13 to 18 are invited to join us for various volunteer activities. If none of the activities below is a right fit, contact Nicole with an idea for an alternative volunteer project. 

VoluTeen Club

Wednesdays from 6:00 to 7:30 pm

June 14

Join us to complete projects and activities to support local and nationwide charities and organizations.

Sleeping Mat Project (All Ages)

Every Thursday from 10 am to 11:30 am

Weaving mats from plastic bags. Stay after to help clean up.

 

Lego Club: All Together Now (All Ages)

Mondays, June 26-August 14 from 2 to 4 pm

Show up a little early to help the librarian set up and stay after to clean up this program. During the program, encourage and help younger builders with their creations. No program on July 17.

 

Crafts for a Cause: Shelter Drive (All Ages)

Wednesday, June 28 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm

Make signs to advertise an upcoming drive for Pawsibilities Animal Rescue.

 

Peyton Hearts (Grades 6 -12)

Thursday, July 6 at 4 pm

Learn about The Peyton Hearts Project and help tag crocheted hearts.

 

 

Crafts for a Cause with Knitwits (All Ages)

Tuesday, July 11 at 2:30 pm

Join Knitwits to knit and crochet squares for charity.

 

 

Crafts for a Cause: Crafting Kindess (All Ages)

Wednesday, July 12 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm

Make crafts to spread kindness with Mikayla's Voice

 

Crafts for a Cause: For Pete's Sake (All Ages)

Make crafts for cancer patients and their families from For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation

 

Crafts for a Cause: Puzzles (All Ages)

Wednesday, August 9 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm

Create your own puzzle to share with a friend or family member

Flexible Volunteer Opportunities 

Crafternoon Videos 

Have you seen IVPL’s Crafternoon videos on YouTube? Send a video of yourself creating a craft. You can use a book as a guide or create your own tutorial. Include a list of materials and step-by-step instructions.  If your face is in the video, have your parent/guardian fill out and sign the video release form (must download and print). If you don’t have the completed form, make sure only your hands are recorded. If you do not have video editing software, Nicole can speed up the video for you. Contact Nicole at nhusbands@ivpl.org with any questions. 

Time: 1 hour per approved video

Help us achieve engagement by producing creative and compelling content for IVPL.

Special Events Photography
