Indian Valley Public Library

Anyone 16 and older who lives in the Souderton Area School District, can join the library by completing an application and showing proof of current address.

Anyone under age 16 requires a parent or guardian to sign the application.  

​

If you live outside the Souderton Area School District, you may borrow materials from IVPL by using a valid library card with a blue ACCESS-PA sticker (the statewide library card program).

​

Borrowers are responsible for overdue fines and lost or damaged materials checked out to them.  Parents or guardians are responsible for materials borrowed by their children.

​

IVPL cards are honored in all Pennsylvania libraries participating in the ACCESS-PA program.

Length of Loans

3 weeks:  Books, children’s cassettes, toys, audio books, CD’s
2 weeks:  Interlibrary loans
1 week:   Videos & DVD’s, magazines, pamphlets, circulating encyclopedias, rental books

Fines for Overdues (effective 1/2/18)

Adult and YA materials:  25 cents/day, maximum $8.00

Juvenile materials:  15 cents/day, maximum $2.00

Videos & DVDs:  $1.00/day, maximum $8.00

Rental Books:  25 cents/day, maximum $8.00

Interlibrary loans:  25 cents/day, maximum $8.00

Interlibrary Loan

No fee.  $5.00 per item to search outside of Pennsylvania (plus any fees required by the lending library).

IVPL or district materials:  No fee

Items beyond state network:  $5.00 per item

Lost Items

The cost of the item will be charged, plus a $3.00 processing fee
The cost of a lost video case is $3.00
The cost for a lost and damaged bar code is $3.00
