Library of Things

We have books and so much more!

Search through our list of "things" and reserve ahead of time online, or stop in to our Pennsylvania Room and see what is available.

Items from the Library of Things can be borrowed for up to three weeks, unless there is a prior reservation during those three weeks.

Certain specialty items may have a shorter check out period.

After finding the item you want to borrow online, click on details/borrow to open up more information about the item.
Click on Borrow this Object button (blue).
Select the day you want to pick up the item. Click again on the day you want to return the item (up to 21 days). If the return date falls in the next month, click on the last day of the month and then click on the button that says Add Days into (Next Month Name). Then, click on the return date in the next month.
Click on Confirm Loan Dates.
Click on Continue.
Enter Library Card Number and click Continue.
Click the checkbox to agree to the loan terms and click Continue.
You will receive an email confirming your loan.
To check out your item, simply bring the item from the PA Room to the front desk of the library with your library card on the date of pick up. Items must also be returned to the front desk during normal library hours and not in the book drop.

To cancel a reservation, click on the link in your confirmation email or contact the reference desk at 215-723-9109 X3 or refdesk@ivpl.org.
