With the title reference to the Arab militias known as the janjaweed, and their campaign of violence and terror in Darfur, this film is an account of what a young American (former Marine captain) named Brian Steidel saw in his six months in Darfur working as an unarmed monitor for the African Union in 2004-05. Running time: 85 minutes.
