Hatha yoga is the general term for just about all the yoga we practice in the U.S. This class incorporates breathwork and postures designed to open, stretch and strengthen the body. This is a great class for beginners. Students may feel stronger, more grounded and more relaxed after this class. Classes taught by Jen Dombrowski, student of Kathleen Tooley (owner of Anahata Yoga and Wellness Center in Harleysville )and soon-to-be 200-hour Kripalu Yoga Instructor. Poets and poetry lovers are invited to Forgotten Voices Poetry Group, held on the first Saturday of each month at 1 pm at the Indian Valley Public Library. The group has been meeting at the library for more than 20 years and is led by Joanne Leva, creator of the Montgomery County Poet Laureate program (MCPL). All are welcome. This event is free and open to the public to share the poetry they’ve written, read poetry that they love, or simply listen to poetry read by others; guest speakers are sometimes invited to conduct writing workshops.
