Director's Corner
May is, in a way, a transition month for all ages. Students, winding up another academic year, are planning busy summers and looking forward to changes in the fall. Adults are (at last) hiding those snow shovels in the back of the garage, sharpening mower blades, and finding the garden tools. Here at the library we are gearing up for summer -- with summer reading clubs for all ages (including adults!) and lots of programs. In cooperation with Harleysville Books and the "Y", we're sponsoring a "One Book, One Indian Valley" summer using the bestseller "Finn" written by Jon Clinch of Harleysville. And, we're inviting everyone who knows Mayor Emeritus Charlie Allebach of Souderton to come to the Mayor's Roast on May 18. It looks to be a great month. --Linda Beck, Director | |
