Learning Express |
Learning Express provides access to a wide range of online practice exams, improvement courses, and exam preparation e-books. From GED and GRE tests to real estate and civil service exams, online practice exams make it easy to prepare for many standardized tests.
The tests are free of charge to patrons of the Indian Valley Public Library.
Registered library patrons can access tests at the library or from home.
To begin using LearningExpress Library:
Visit the library’s website at http://www.ivpl.org and click the “Search Databases” link. Enter the barcode number from the back of your library card and click Login. Choose LearningExpress from the list of options.
Under “Please Sign In” click the New User button.
You will be asked to enter a username and password. You must register and create your own private personalized account to use the online service. If you will be using LearningExpress Library from outside the library you must use your 14 digit library barcode number as your username. Even if registering within the library, it is highly recommended that you use your library barcode number as your user name.
After registering, a list of available test preparation materials appears. Select a test by clicking on the title. Some test categories have more than one test available. If you have any questions about the test, click on the name of the test for more information.
Click “Practice Now” to go directly to the test. Some tests are timed. If the test you selected is timed, there will be a clock running in the upper right hand corner.
For each question, click on the circle to the left of the answer you believe is correct, and click Next. Select Skip this question for now to skip a question and return to it later.
When you have finished the test, you will be given the opportunity to answer any question you might have skipped or you can click “Finish” to score your test.
Your score will also give you the chance to see your correct and incorrect answers.
If you are unable to complete the test for any reason, choose “Finish Later” from the list of options to save your test.
When you are finished, make sure to sign off your account.
The next time you visit LearningExpress Library, click the Returning User button or the Sign In tab. Enter your previously registered username and password.
You can click on a new test, or if you want to complete an unfinished test click “My Account”.
The tests you have previously visited will appear.
An incomplete test will open with the unanswered or skipped questions, allowing you the opportunity to start with one of the unanswered or skipped questions or return to the beginning of the test.
