Children’s Programs
Session 1:
1/16-2/24

The following weekly classes require registration:
Baby and Me (0-24mos.)
Mondays at 6:30pm. Wednesdays at 10am. 20 minutes of easy stories, songs, finger-plays and tickling rhymes. No class Wed. Jan. 25 or Mon. Feb. 20.
Babies Boogie (0-2 years old)
Mondays at 10am and 11am. Thursdays at 11am. 30 minutes of songs, music, dancing, stories, movement, rhymes and motion.No Class Mon. Feb. 20
Circle Time (2-3 years old)
Tuesdays at 10am and Wednesday at 11am . 30 minutes of stories, finger plays, and parachute play. No Class Wed. Jan. 25
Music and Motion (3-5 years old)
Tuesdays at 1pm or Thursdays at 10am . 30 minutes of stories, music, rhymes, and motion.
Fours and Fives
Tuesdays at 11am or Thursdays at 1pm. 35 minutes of stories and finger plays. Each session will enjoy both fiction and non-fiction books.
La Hora de Cuento en Espanol
All ages can join us for story time in Spanish. April 21. 10am.
Bedtime Story Hour
Every Wednesday Evening at 7:00pm Jan. 18-Feb. 23. Turn off the TV and log off the computer! Use your imagination and enjoy an evening of stories and finger plays. Wear your PJs and bring your teddy bear if you want. No Registration Required. No Class Wed. Jan 25.
Parent Child Workshop
For Parents/caregivers and children under 3. Spend time together, play, experience art activities and meet new friends. Community Resource Specialists discuss child development, speech and hearing, nutrition and play and movement. Five Fridays Feb. 3, 10, 17, 24 and March 2. 10-11:15am. Registration Required. The following classes for school age children (grades k-5) require registration:
Lego Workshop
Thursdays from 4-5pm Jan. 19- Feb. 24 Build a masterpiece. We will pick different themes each week and spend the hour building. LEGO bricks provided. Limit of 50 children. Click here for online registration form.
Chess Club
Mondays from 4-5pm.Jan. 16- Feb. 13. Bring your own chess board (if you have one, a few will be provided) and play some chess with friends. Learn a new thing or two about the game. Children in Grades 2-5 only. Registration Required. Click Here for online registration form.

Snow Dreams Story Hour
Friday, January 6 11:00am. Preschool Children can join us for some winter stories and a craft. Preschool Children
Signing Time: Sign Language Workshop for Children in Grades K-5
Saturday, Jan. 21 1:00pm. This is a fun, interactive workshop taught by a certified American Sign Language Instructor. Please click here for online registration form.
Grandparents Valentine's Day Tea
Saturday, February 11, 11:00am. This special intergenerational program is for children and grandparents, or special friend, relative, or neighbor. (Parents may attend if no other friend is available). Come and enjoy stories, make valentines and spend time together. All Ages.
Leap Year Party
Wednesday, February 29, 7:00pm. Join us for special bedtime stories and then stay for a fun LEAP year party with snacks and a craft. This party only comes once every four years. All Ages.
Pajama Party
Friday, March 23 10:00am. Wear your PJ's and join us to celebrate Stop Snoring Bernard! PA's choice of the one book to read to every child. Hear the best snoring stories, make a sleepy craft, even compete in a snoring contest. Each child will receive a copy of Stop Snoring Bernard! while supplies last. Preschool Children.
Mommy and Me Special Stories
Wednesday, May 9 at 7:00pm. Join us for special stories with Mom or other female role model (Grandmas, Aunts, big Sisters, neighbors and friends welcome!) and special craft. Preschool Children.
Daddy and Me Special Stories
Saturday, June 16, 11:00am. Join us for special stories with Dad or other male role model (Grandpas, Uncles, big Brothers, neighbors and friends are welcome!) and special craft. Preschool Children.
Wii love Gaming @the library
Children Grades 2-5 only. Join us to play some favorite Wii Games and make new friends. Friday March 16, 7:00pm. Gaming Club on 5/11 is canceled.

Celebrate your birthday at Indian Valley Public Library
Did you know that the library's Community Room is available for Birthday Parties? For a fee of $35 you may reserve space for your party or special event. Tables and chairs are provided.
